The Battle of Ridgefield Reenactment

Cannons and cavalry, militia and musket fire, redcoats on the march — a Battle of Ridgefield re-enactment is planned for April 29th, as Ridgefield’s Masonic lodge, Jerusalem 49 hosts a celebration of the 240th anniversary of the fighting that took place April 27, 1777. The Reenactment is a day full of activities for the whole family to enjoy with the American encampmemt at Keeler Tavern Museum and The British at Ballard Park. Both Encampments will feature:
• Smelting of Musket balls
• Cooking
• Drills
• Interacting with the soliders
• Period Artisans
• and much more...
The reenactment will also feature walking tours presented by the Ridgefield Historical Society, colonial music presented by the Ridgefield Library, a parade with a fife and drum core, a field hospital presented by the Ridgefield Historical Society, and a tribute to our veterans.
