The definition of mindfulness and meditation is paying attention on purpose!
Each session begins with centering; Centering allows the student to notice the “right now moment.” From how the student felt five minutes ago, at lunch, or even that morning eating breakfast, to how the student feels after taking a few breaths. Then, the student starts to become aware of their bodies by using breathing techniques and moving their body for warming up. We practice yoga poses with a combination of breathing which presents the concept of yoga. Each session ends in relaxation. During this time, the student comes to a familiar place, their center, becoming peaceful with breathing and stillness.
