The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is happy to announce that its annual fall “Harvest Market” will be held on the Old Town Hall Green, (corner of Old Post Road and Beach Road) on Sunday, October 15th.
The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce heralds the start of the fall season by welcoming clothiers, jewelers, artisans and others, to the historic Old Town Hall green, to display their products and items to the public. Featuring more than 40 well-known and unique retail vendors, shoppers will enjoy music provided by DJ Scott, while strolling among the booths to say hello, look around and have an opportunity to buy an endless array of fun and beautiful items. From fall-themed food items like maple syrup, delicious apple cider and aromatic coffees to rustic furniture and bird feeding supplies, shoppers will also find a wide variety of retailers selling jewelry, beauty products, clothing, household items, and pet supplies, all ready to purchase on the spot and also get a jump on gift buying for the holidays.

In addition, and unique this year, the Chamber is excited to include the very popular Fairfield’s Farmer’s Market vendors … who are happy to participate, this being their last weekend in Fairfield to sell their delicious produce and products before the season ends.

Little River Farm and Nature View Farm will offer yummy crisp apples, pumpkins (including a decorating table for kids), mums and gourdes, all beautifully displayed and for sale. Think New England, think the Chamber’s Harvest Market.
In addition, there will be a Dog Costume Parade on the same day, which will start at 11:00 am along the side of Old Town Hall, facing Beach Road. Prizes, gift cards supplied by Natural Pet Outlet, will be awarded for the most creative costumes. The first 25 dogs to line up will receive a free Chamber dog bandana. Only even temperament dogs, which get along with others, will be accepted. Pooches are invited to dress up and be on their best behavior, as they prance along Old Post Road with their owner and families, showing off their most outlandish and traditional costumes.
Of special feature: "A New Home for Everyone!" Susan Cronin of the Fairfield Canine Cooperative & Michelle Hennessey with William Pitt Sotheby's International Realty are thrilled to be participating in the Harvest Market. Their goal is to find new homes for people & new families for homeless dogs, each looking for a beautiful place to live in Fairfield. Stop by their tent to meet your next furry companion & find your next "home sweet home"!
Hungry? There will also be food trucks, offering the best variety of local foods for everyone to enjoy, including: Wings Over Fairfield, Bella Sera, Italian Ices of Connecticut, Snappy Dawgs and Szabo’s Seafood.
With all that is included, this event guarantees a full day, of exciting family fun for everyone!
