Join New Pond Farm’s team of astronomy volunteers and gaze through the telescopes at the 9-day Old Moon and several galaxies and star clusters.
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
The team will also point out and discuss various seasonal constellations, including Orion, Canis Major and Minor, the Gemini Twins, Taurus the Bull, and more.
Note: Families are invited to a special preview in the Learning Center classroom at 6:30, this will give participants, especially children, a better understanding of what they will be viewing out on the hill.
Please dress for the outdoors, bring a flashlight for the walk to and from the observatory, and binoculars if you have them.
This program is $4 per New Pond Farm member ($12 max. per member family), and $6 per non-member ($24 max. per non-member family).
