Girl Scouts of Connecticut

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Summer Camp

You don't have to be a Girl Scout to come to camp! We make the fresh-air experience educational as well as fun with summer camps – eight sites in all – that combine activities ranging from arts to sports. And there's truly something for every girl – horseback riding, nature exploration, swimming, boating, theme days, outdoor cooking, and plenty of fun.

Who We Are

We're 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world.

Our extraordinary journey began more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low. On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop, and every year since, we’ve honored her vision and legacy, building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.

We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.

Our Mission:

Girl Scouting builds girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

Volunteer with Girl Scouts

Prepare her for a lifetime of leadership, and be the mentor she needs.

As a volunteer, you'll introduce girls to new experiences that show them they're capable of more than they ever imagined.

You'll be their cheerleader, guide, and mentor, helping them develop essential life skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Imagine the excitement, the impact, the memories made --- those are the moments you'll share at Girl Scouts.

Embark on an extraordinary journey of leadership!
