Painting Flowers: The Art of Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keeffe

Fairfield University Art Museum presents an after-school enrichment program called Flower Power: Painting Flowers for children in grades 3-5. This program will introduce the art of Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keeffe through two art projects and books.

Fairfield University Art Museum presents an after-school enrichment program called Flower Power: Painting Flowers for children in grades 3-5. This program will introduce the art of Vincent Van Gogh and Georgia O'Keeffe through completing two art projects and reading books.

The program runs for four Tuesdays, May 29-June 19, 3:45-5 p.m.

About the Instructor:
JoAnn Nahabedian taught elementary school in Scarsdale, NY, for 24 years, where she introduced her students to art history through engaging and innovative units on Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse and Frank Lloyd Wright. Using an interdisciplinary approach, JoAnn demonstrated that art history can be presented to elementary school students in a meaningful and engaging way and is thrilled to bring her expertise to the Fairfield University Art Museum!
