Pantochino Teen Theatre is designed to give young actors, age 12 to 18, the opportunity to work with professionals in learning, rehearsing and performing a fully realized production, outside of the school or academic situation. Weekly Saturday rehearsals are fast-paced and intensive, giving young actors the experience of a professional rehearsal schedule. Past productions have included "Into the Woods Jr.," "Zombie Prom," “Xanadu Jr.” and “Godspell Jr.” Pantochino Teen Theatre begins rehearsal each year just after the holiday season. Pantochino's Summer Teen Theatre is a two-week program providing the same intensive, professional experience.
For summer 2017, Pantochino Teen Theatre will present the awesome musical with the awful title! Winner of three Tony Awards, “Urinetown” is a hilarious musical send up of greed, love, revolution…and musicals! The show catapults "comedic romp" into the new millennium with its wickedly modern wit and sustained ability to produce gales of unbridled laughter. A great experience for young actors with many hilarious characters and songs!
The camp dates are Mon-Thur July 31-August 3 (9am-3pm), Mon-Fri August 7-11 (9am-4pm) and performances Friday August 11 (7:30pm), Saturday August 12 (7:30pm) and Sunday August 13 (2pm). Limted to 30 participants. Tuition: $350.00. Registration available at www.pantochino.com
