Science Sunday: Zoom in on Nature
Sunday, October 29, 2017 — 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
A drop-in program designed for children aged 4 and up and their families. Participants will explore simple science concepts and subjects while partaking in fun, kid-friendly experiments, projects and crafts inspired by the Museum’s collections and exhibitions. This program is free with general admission and no advance registration is required.
Join us for a closer look as we sketch the fine, zoomed in details of seashells, bugs, plants and more using microscopes, our cell phone camera lens, and magnifying glasses. This program is inspired by our science exhibition, Nikon Small World, which features the top 20 award-winning photographs in Nikon’s 2016 Photomicrography Competition.
