Camp Aldrich – Summer 2021 (Grades 1-6)

*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 08/06/2021
Join us for Camp Aldrich, a full-day, week-long arts experience with Museum educators and practicing artists! Each week is unique—inspired by the Museum’s current exhibitions and tailored to specific age groups, with in-gallery learning and art-making. Campers will explore the Museum's galleries with Aldrich teaching artists and educators, create dynamic works of art, move their bodies through mindful activities and games, discover art-making techniques, and build friendships along the way! New activities will be shared every week, inspired by Aldrich exhibiting artists Frank Stella, Tim Prentice, Clarity Haynes, Lucia Hierro, and Hugo McCloud. Caregivers will receive personalized emails from the Camp Aldrich team sharing what their child learned and did each day. The experience will culminate on Friday evenings with an art show of campers' creative projects for family and friends.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

KINDLY NOTE: We are developing Camp Aldrich as a full day, in-person program to be held both indoors and outdoors, weather-permitting. As such, we will be closely monitoring best practices from state governance to implement for the safety of all campers, visitors, and staff. Moreover, we will be requiring all staff, visitors, and campers over the age of two to wear face masks, socially distance, and wash their hands routinely. Increased vigilance will be given to our cleaning and disinfecting procedures of shared indoor spaces such as The Studio. Campers will be screened upon arrival each day for any observable illness and confirmed with a temperature below 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit. If a camper expresses they are not feeling well or develops symptoms of a cough, cold, or fever during the day, they will be moved to a designated area with a chaperone to await pick-up. In the case that we will not be able to continue to offer Camp for any reason, full refunds will be offered.
