The Connecticut Symphonic Winds will be joining the Fairfield Museum on July 10th at 5pm for our annual commemoration of the Burning of Fairfield. On the morning of July 7th, 1779, some 2,000 British soldiers made landfall on Fairfield Beach. Over the course of the next two days, the town of Fairfield, which had supported independence, was raided and almost completely destroyed. Every year the Fairfield Museum commemorates this day and celebrates the resilience of the amazing people of our town. The CT Symphonic Winds will be playing a rousing performance of American classics, including a celebration of John Williams, the noted composer of songs from films like Star Wars and ET, as well as favorite American show tunes.
