Flower Power Kids: MLK Jr. Service Day Project

This free event will provide an outlet for children and adults to further Dr. King’s message of peace and love by making paper flowers bouquets and cards for the senior citizens of ElderHouse.

In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the Norwalk Historical Society will be hosting, “Flower Power Kids: MLK Jr. Service Day Project”. 

This free family-friendly Service Day Project supports the Norwalk non-profit organization, ElderHouse Adult Day Center, and takes place on Sunday, January 19, 2020 from 1:00pm – 4:00pm at the Norwalk Historical Society Museum.

Drop in anytime between 1:00pm – 4:00pm!  This free event will provide an outlet for children and adults to further Dr. King’s message of peace and love by making paper flowers bouquets and cards for the senior citizens of ElderHouse. In addition to the service project, children will get the opportunity to create peace flowers and learn more about Dr. King’s mission for peace, freedom and justice for all.  Register for this free event at: https://flowerpowerkids.brownpapertickets.com/.  All children must be accompanied by an adult.

If the event is canceled due to inclement weather, it will be rescheduled.   The Norwalk Historical Society Museum is located at 141 East Avenue. The front entrance is accessible from the Norwalk City Hall parking area at 125 East Avenue.  The Museum is in the red brick house with blue double front doors, next to the Norwalk Health Department.
