Girl Scouts of Connecticut Summer Camp
Summer Camp is all about experiences – taking a deep breath, enjoying the smell of nature, listening to rustling leaves, hiking, building a fire, and wrapping up the day with s’mores and campfire stories. It’s about experiencing the independence of being away from home and finding your voice. Having the confidence to stand up and lead that song, the courage to dive into the deep end. Girl Scouts wouldn’t be Girl Scouts without the great outdoors. We make the fresh-air experience educational as well with horseback riding, nature exploration, swimming, boating, theme days, and plenty of fun.
And it’s also about sharing experiences – helping a new friend learn to tie a knot, canoeing across the lake together, and combining your cooking skills to make delicious campfire meals. Not only do girls get these classic camp experiences, but they get the Girl Scout Leadership Experience, too.
