The town of Orange's first agricultural fair was held on September 15, 1898 on the Town Green. The fair was held for several years but slowly died out after 1912. In 1975 with the approaching national bicentennial, the town recreated the event. Since then The Orange Country Fair is held the 3rd weekend of September every year. Just like in the early years, the fair today still has a lot of the same events it did years ago. From tractor pulls, and sheep hearing, to the craft tent and even Friday night truck pulls, there is something for the whole family.
