Painting & Mixed Media for Teens
Meets every Sunday @ 12pm-2pm LIVE in-person at our studio in Dumbo
Suitable for Teens 9-16 yrs
Looking for inspiration? This class is largely exploratory, perfect for beginners- intermediate students who are curious about the visual arts & interested in exploring lots of different media. Dive into Painting & mixed Media and/ or Found Object Art with the support from a professional instructor. Learn how to express yourself freely in a personal way using a combination of both professional & non-traiudional mixed media ( recycled machine parts, toys, papers, thread, fabrics etc) Every week we will pick a different subject or theme to explore and work in the media of our choosing, mixing styles & genres to create one of a kind pieces. We will also reference master artists for inspiration (both present & past artists), think Jackson Pollack or Basquiat! Pick up fun tips the pros use to apply to future artistic endeavors. Wear something comfortable to create in and bring your wildest imagination!
