Ridgefield BandJam Submission Deadline

SUBMISSION DEADLINE: OCTOBER 14
LIVE TRYOUTS: OCTOBER 28 & 29
The BandJam competition will continue in 2019 with local area bands submitting their original and/or cover song recordings. Things heat up when semi-finalist bands are selected during live tryouts at the The Ridgefield Playhouse in October performing before a panel of judges. Finalist bands are then selected to compete in the Finals in November.
The Ridgefield Playhouse BandJam competition is open to area Middle School and High School bands. You do not need to attend Ridgefield Schools to participate. Bands will be grouped in two categories: High School (grades 9-12) & Middle School (grades 8 and below)
HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR ENTRY
Email the following to be received by October 14, 2019 to: RidgefieldBandJam@gmail.com.
- Completed Band Entry Form
- MP3 file of the band performing one song in 2019 (live performance, rehearsal or studio recording).
- YouTube link (public or private) to a video of the band performing one song in 2019 (live performance or rehearsal).
NOTE AT LEAST ONE OF THE SUBMITTED SONGS MUST BE A COVER (ONE MAY BE AN ORIGINAL COMPOSITION). ALL ENTRIES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN OCTOBER 14, 2019.
IMPORTANT: Recordings and songs performed must not be defamatory, or obscene, and may not include profanities as determined by the judges. Any such entries will be disqualified.
WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND SUBMITTING YOUR BEST QUALITY RECORDINGS.
Sponsors will not acknowledge any entry not meeting all entry requirements (including a parent or legal guardian’s signature) and will disqualify those entries.
LIMIT ONE ENTRY PER MUSICIAN/BAND/CATEGORY. In other words, a musician can only play with one band in the High School or Middle School category.
