*The event has already taken place on this date: Fri, 04/15/2022
Are you looking for a great opportunity for your children, grades kindergarten through 5th, to get some outdoor exercise. Each day will bring a different learning adventure. Children will get a chance to hike the trails, observe wildlife, explore pond life and discover baby animals at the farm. Choose a single day or sign up for the whole week! Dress for the weather, pack a lunch for full day and a snack for half days.

Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.

Monday, April-11 Frog Song! – Do you know how many different frogs live at Flanders? Let’s grab a net and bucket to identify some of them. Discover their vernal pool, pond or brook habitats and things we can do to help these webbed footed wonders!
Tuesday, April 12 – Baby Animals – Spring brings newborns at the farm and in nature! Let’s learn about milky mammals and what is hatching in treetop nests or underwater at the pond. Furry, feathery, slimy and scaly babies create amazing discoveries!
Wednesday, April 13- Farming Fun – Come on down to discover what is happening at the farm! What are those crazy goats getting into or is it shearing time for the sheep? Are chicks and ducks hatching? Prepare for a fun filled day with tractor rides, games and stories!
Thursday, April 14 – Pond Life – Grab a net and bucket and lets head to the pond! The wonders of this watery world will amaze you! Red Spotted Nets, tadpoles and dragonfly nymphs are all part of a fantastic aquatic adventure
Friday, April 15 – Animal Discoveries – Mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, insects and amphibians are all here at Flanders for us to discover. Let’s use our helping hands to benefit our animal friends by building brush piles, planting for pollinators and protecting habitats. We will learn about being a conservation partner and an environmental steward of our earth home.
