Grand Opening of The Whittingham Discovery Center at Mill River Park

In the fall of 2020, we began construction on the Whittingham Discovery Center, a state of the art visitor and environmental education Center on the east side of the Park. Featuring an interactive exhibit space interpreting the social and natural history of the Mill River, the importance of caring for natural resources – and the effects of climate change – right in the heart of Stamford’s downtown. Changing exhibits will provide hands-on learning and an opportunity for community gathering. In addition to the public exhibit space, there will be specially equipped environmental education suites, a café, and an amphitheater.
