Fred Elser First Sunday Science: Introduction to Shellfishing
Please help us keep this calendar up to date! If this activity is sold out, canceled, or otherwise needs alteration, email mindy@kidsoutandabout.com so we can update it immediately. If you have a question about the activity itself, please contact the organization administrator listed below.
We will meet in front of the Bruce Museum Seaside Center at 1:00, then head to the beds. We have slotted a special time for this event to coincide with low tide so come prepared to spend some time in the mud. During the hour you will learn how you can get involved in local recreational shellfishing, including Town Regulations, where Town beds are located, shellfishing safety, and what tools you will need to get started on your shellfishing journey.
This program is free of charge. No beach pass is required if you are attending the Fred Elser First Sunday Science. Please let them know at the gate you are attending the Bruce Museum Seaside Center lecture. First Sunday Science programs take place at the Floren Family Environmental Center at Innis Arden Cottage, Greenwich Point Park, Old Greenwich, CT.
