Join us on Saturday, Dec. 1, from 1 to 3 pm, as we take part in Westport Historical Society’s Holly Days Series in connection with the Holly Days exhibitions.
Evergreen trees being brought into the home and the celebration of the Winter Solstice come from German traditions. Learn more as you decorate this historic tree. Westport’s Heritage Tree brings together history, art and the holidays. This year’s tree will be enhanced by a special ornament made by guest artist Victoria Kann, creator of the bestselling Pinkalicious series of books—now an award-winning PBS series! Join her in placing historic ornaments created by Westport’s creative community on an evergreen tree to be installed into our Holly Days exhibits. Books will be available for purchase and signing by the author.
This is a free event, but registration is recommended. A light snack will be offered after the tree has been completed.
