Join Willow Tree Montessori for a Parent Education Night. Our AMI trained guide, Mrs. Perkins will be giving a presentation on the Development of Movement in the AMI Montessori context on Thursday, February 5 beginning at 6:00pm.
Movement connects the child with the world around them. Learning to move our body is experiential learning where the body needs time for exploration and self-discovery. Mrs. Perkins, our AMI trained guide, shares the scientific processes of Observation and the Analysis of Movement from Infancy to Toddler. Join us in the exploration of aids and barriers in the young child's unique process to independence through movement.
"In our schools, we see that all children have a natural urge to perfect their movements, such as achieving balance, with practical work exercises. From this, we have seen that all development of the movement must be related to some intelligent purpose. This is the right way to develop." -Maria Montessori, The 1946 London Lectures.
This presentation is open to all adults in our community, including parents, grandparents, and friends! There will be light refreshments during the event.
Can't wait to see you there, Thursday, February 5 at 6pm. Register here
