With a special emphasis on painting technique, this class focuses on understanding and creating color relationships to tell a compelling visual story. Students will gain a deeper knowledge of the color wheel, develop color mixing skills and practice making original artworks. Students will use age appropriate materials including tempera and acrylic paint, clay and building materials, and oil and chalk pastels to understand how to manipulate hue and value in a multitude of media.
