What our organization offers:
Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
The mission of the Family Literacy Center is to improve literacy experiences for children birth to age 6 and their families to improve their children's success in school.

The Family Literacy Center offers free playgroups 4 times a week to children and families from the greater Danbury Area. Playgroups include free play, snack, story, craft and parent information.

We also have special events and fundraisers such as Parent's Night Out, Fall Touch a Truck, Family Literacy Center Night at the Danbury Whalers, Spring Plant Sale and annual Butterfly Release.

The Family literacy Center has a Literacy Caravan which we take to locations all over the Danbury Area and it is available to rent for Birthday Parties as well. Each child that visits the Literacy Caravn leaves with a brand new book.

The Family Literacy Center also offers many different programs for parents.
