Let’s get in the spirit of autumn! Visit the Flanders Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Oct. 16 for a fun filled Fall day! Pick the perfect pumpkin and then carve your pumpkin (bring your own tools) to enter into our first ever carving contest! While you are here, watch as Michael Audette and Grant Lauer of the Connecticut Wood Carvers Association demonstrate how to hand carve “high relief” pumpkin faces. Our North Barn will be open for a visit with all our farm animals. Chainsaw Carving Demonstration – You don’t want to miss this amazing live show! Michael Audette of the CT Wood Carvers Association will be on-site at the Flanders Van Vleck Sanctuary demonstrating start to finish how to chainsaw carve a wood pumpkin! This is sure to be a unique and exciting experience. We hope you will join us for this outdoor family friendly day!
