Garden and Tree Tours: Sensory Garden
*The event has already taken place on this date: Sun, 07/24/2022
Join UCONN Master Gardener and Herb Garden founder, Linda Albanese and Master Gardener Annea Rosenberg for a tour of our newest garden, the Sensory Garden. Studies have shown that Sensory Gardens provide therapeutic benefits, particularly for children and adults with special needs. The Bartlett's Sensory Garden is devoted to raised plant beds that emphasize each of the five senses: sight, smell, hearing, taste, and touch.
From the wafting lavender to snappy peas, from rustling grasses to chiming bamboo, this garden tour is sure to inspire your curiosity and green thumb! It’s also designed to permit wheelchair access and other accessibility concerns.
