June Bugs

Children ages 3.5 through 6 years old will connect with nature through outdoor activities, arts and crafts, games, and hands-on ecology lessons. They will spend time on the trails of the Rye Nature Center and get to know our menagerie of animals. With the indoor space available at the Rye Nature Center, June Bugs will run rain or shine.
PROGRAM OPTIONS
All children who would like to enroll in the June Bugs program must be born before December 6, 2012. We offer morning and afternoon sessions.
June Bugs will run the weeks of the 6th, the 13th, and the 20th.
The Morning Program - $360 per session
The morning session runs from 8:30 am–12:30 pm*. This session is a four hour camp day. Children enrolled in this program must bring a hearty, healthy lunch in a reusable bag. A morning snack is provided by the FRNC.
The Afternoon Program - $270 per session
The afternoon session runs from 1:00–4:00 pm*. This session is a three hour camp day. Children should eat lunch prior to coming to the program. An afternoon snack is provided by the FRNC.
*IMPORTANT CHANGE* Please note that most preschools are still in session the week of June 6th. We have adjusted the program times this week. The morning, four-hour session will run from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. The afternoon, three-hour program will run from 12:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Nature Center staff will not be picking up or dropping off children to and from school this week.
Children are divided into groups by age and are led by one naturalist and one or two assistants. All lead staff is certified in first aid, epi-pen administration and CPR. Groups are limited to 16 children to maintain a low child-to-staff ratio. Space is limited for this eco-adventure so reserve your child’s spot early!
CANCELLATION POLICY
No refunds or credits will be given if you cancel your enrollment. In the event you need to cancel, a tax receipt will be issued to you indicating that your fee for the program was converted to a charitable donation.Membership is non-refundable. Please check your child's calendar and schedule carefully prior to enrollment.
