Learning Community Day School

A preschool and kindergarten serving Westport, Weston, and Lower Fairfield County families. We have classes for 2, 3, and 4 year olds, together with a full kindergarten program. We are licensed by the Connecticut Office of Early Childhood, and accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The Learning Community Day School is a democratic community whose mission is to encourage, prepare, and educate children to become enlightened, self-assured, responsible, and enthusiastic participants in life. LCDS is a child-centered school rather than a teacher-centered program. We give priority to the needs and interests of our children. This requires individualized curriculum that encourages children to learn at their own rates and explore their own interests.
