Spend the day discovering how small choices can make a big difference. This family-friendly event features hands-on activities, live demonstrations, and interactive experiences that highlight how people across Connecticut are rethinking the way we live, build, and care for our environment.

Plant Sale
Purchase vegetable plants grown right here at the Connecticut Science Center and start your own green space at home.
Family Gardening
Help plant Four O’Clocks in our Rooftop Garden as part of the Michaela’s Garden Project. Presented by the Petit Family Foundation
Plant Detectives
Explore the Science Center and see how many native plants you can find along the way.
Beak Buffet
Test how different bird beaks work in a hands-on activity and learn how human choices impact wildlife.
Be an Ecologist
Observe, record, and reflect on the natural world just like a scientist in the field.
Nectar Navigators
Follow pollinators on their journey and discover how they help ecosystems thrive.
The Dirt on Composting
Learn what composting is, why it matters, and how to do it at home, including a look at a working worm bin.
Seed Ball Making
Create your own seed balls to take home and grow plants that support pollinators.
