Rocks from Outer Space at Meigs Point Nature Center
Join us for a talk about meteorites with Al Washburn, a retired Earth Science, Astronomy, Planetary Astronomy teacher and past president of the ASNH. This is a family friendly talk. Learn about the three major types of meteorites, their basic differences, and how to tell them apart with the opportunity to hold, test, and identify samples of the different kinds. In a simulation make a crater to observe how they occur.
