Vegetable Garden Seed Saving: Family Program

This Fall, we will delve into various nature-based topics through our Outdoor Explorer & Nature Craft Series! For this session, you will explore the Arboretum’s vegetable garden and learn about all of the delicious vegetables that grow late in the year. You will also learn about seed saving and how to practice saving specific seeds to use and plant in your garden from year to year. At the end of our session, you will participate in a fun craft and make your own creation to bring home!
This program is best suited for children ages 4-7. Due to social distancing guidelines, there is a maximum of 10 participants for this program. All participants will be required to wear masks throughout the duration of the program, except when the instructor indicates they may take the mask down to smell or taste something. Social distancing will be required for this program. Adults are asked to participate with the child, especially during the hands-on portion of the program since social distancing must be maintained between the educator and students. You must register 24 hours in advance.
