June Bugs (Pre-K to K) is the Rye Nature Center’s popular program for preschoolers and kindergarteners in the early days of summer. Children ages 3.5 through 6 years old will connect with nature through outdoor activities, arts and crafts, games, and hands-on ecology lessons. Our camp programs aim to get children and youth unplugged from indoor activities through exciting, hands-on explorations in the outdoors. Our action-packed Summer Camp emphasizes fun experiences that give children an opportunity to simply “be a kid” while exploring the marvels of nature and making friends. Weekly themes inspire young adventurers at age-appropriate levels as they learn and play amidst our 40 acres of ponds, fields, and forest. Budding scientists uncover the mysteries of the natural world while adventure-seekers learn wilderness skills and experience the exhilaration of the great outdoors! Experienced and highly trained counselors create daily fun with games, camp songs, art projects and amazing nature discoveries. |
