Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Established in 1891 as The Barnum Institute of Science and History, The Barnum Museum now boasts an extensive collection of art and artifacts relating to the life of Bridgeport's own P.T. Barnum! Explore an array of Curious and Wonderful Artifacts in the Barnum Museum’s collection! Take a peek at two dozen of our “stars,” including the Great Showman’s top hat, a walnut-shaped carriage made for Commodore Nutt, and even a preserved slice of Gen. and Mrs. Tom Thumb’s wedding cake! (Trust us, it is not moldy despite being over 150 years old.)
