Ages for which our activities are most appropriate:
Stamford Peace Youth Foundation uses high level basketball instruction, training, and competition as well as academic support, to positively influence young people and help them achieve their full potential on and off the court. PEACE's efforts are supported by two key pillars: PEACE Basketball, and our Beyond Limits Academic Program. PEACE Basketball offers a first-rate basketball educational experience -- among our offerings are a boys' winter house basketball league; over a dozen elite-level boys' and girls' travel AAU basketball teams; Trifecta Hoops summer and vacation day basketball camps; an outdoor summer league at Scalzi Park; year-round clinics and open gym activities; and individual training. Stamford Peace uses the game of basketball as a vehicle through which to positively influence academic achievement, community service, and other life skills. To that end, our Beyond Limits Academic Program employs a peer-to-peer approach in which local high school students provide one-on-one academic tutoring, primarily in math and science, to other local middle school and high school students, and fees are highly subsidized by Stamford Peace. Beyond Limits also conducts enrichment activities covering such topics as financial literacy, standardized test preparation, college planning and more.
PEACE Basketball Summer Camp - An all-around skills development camp for boys & girls ages 6-14, challenging yet fun for all skill levels! Players can improve ball handling, shooting, decision making, & all around skills in a fun & safe environment.
