A Collaborative Learning Experience:

Family Science Camp

Science, Art, Photography, Naturalist Activities and Outdoor Recreation

Lodge-based, 8-days/7-nights at Canyon-of-the-Eagle, Lake Buccanan, Texas.
Participants will construct and use their own pinhole cameras, learn how to use a darkroom to create black & white photos.
All ages can join this family camp experience, appropriate access to some activities will vary for younger participants.
Meals and overnights are included. Also included are kayaking on Lake Buchanan, mountain biking (with e-bike option), naturalist-guided trail walks, bird and wildflowers walks, butterflies, and exploring the natural and cultural history aspects of the Texas Hill Country environment.
Our location is designated a “dark sky” place by the International Dark Sky Places (IDSP), an evening session at the Eagle Eye Astronomical Observatory (on site) will be scheduled.
